Haziza Santa Monica to Host Exhibition of Oil Paintings by Maano
On February 12th, 2005, Haziza Santa Monica will host a Valentine's Day Celebration and solo exhibition of oil paintings by Maano.
Maano was born in Russia and lived in Israel and Belgium before relocating to Los Angeles. Of her work, she has written,"I paint, not just because I want to but because it is my survival - the whole and complete essence of my being - a total fulfillment of body, mind and soul."
Maano focuses mainly on capturing people's characteristics and traits - "a person accumulates so many different experiences in life and I portray the beauty, affection, love, God, nature and universe of their souls in my paintings."
She says, "My paintings are a product of my being as a woman, as a mother, as a natural healer and as a spiritual entity."
The event will also feature sculptures, furniture, rugs, accessories and more by Shlomi Haziza, as well as a DJ, live music, and complimentary refreshments.
